Week 5 Preview

After the international break, we’re back with Week 5, and there are some big domestic leagues games this weekend!
In England, the Premier League gets back going again with a thrilling early Saturday game as Manchester City head south and take on Arsenal at the Emirates.  With seemingly no new injuries for either side from the Euro qualifiers and international friendlies, both teams will be eager to build on their relatively strong starts to the season.  The big talk on Sunday will be about Manchester United potentially fielding an almost entirely new side as Louis van Gaal may showcase his summer spending spree, much to the chagrin of visiting QPR.
Over in Spain, La Liga sees last year’s top 4 teams going against each other.  First, Athletic Bilbao head across to Barcelona to take on Leo and the blaugrana boys.  The home team will be looking to extend their perfect start to the season, as well as their lead at the top of the table.  The visiting Leones will be looking to reverse the 2-1 loss in the same fixture last season and propel themselves up near the top of the table.  Later in the day, last season’s league winners Atletico Madrid visit their cross-town rivals, taking on the rested Cristiano Ronaldo and Los Blancos at the Bernabeu.  Madrid will certainly be looking to bounce back after their embarrassing collapse against Sociedad just before the break.
The most intriguing Serie A fixture comes on Saturday as the red-hot Antonio di Natale and his Udinese squad visits defending champions Juventus.  Smart money is always going to be on the home team, especially with their defensive prowess, but if there is a winner then they will head to the top of the table – an attractive proposition even at this very early stage in the season.
So, check all the fixtures, get your lineup sorted out, and carefully pick your captain.  Only 1 game for all players in this Euro-shortened week, so make them count
